Ordinary arthritis drugs

Ordinary arthritis drugs, also called NSAID products, usually provide a good pain-relieving effect while it also provides an anti-inflammatory effect. NSAID stands for Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory drugs, and they cover a number of different products, e.g. Ibuprofen, Diclofenac and Meloxicam. If a NSAID drug proves to be insufficient, or if it has an intolerable side-effect, it may be a good idea to try another NSAID drug.

NSAID drugs may have side-effects, such as stomach pain, and some patients develop stomach ulcers. The risk of this can, however, be minimised by concomitantly taking medicine against ulcers. In rare occasions NSAID products may cause nettle rash and asthma. The package inset leaflet in the product package provides answers to most questions about the drug.
